what's in a hug?


"A hug is one of the sincerest forms of expression. Like trust, it can't be bought or traded. Not a right proper hug, in any case.

A right proper hug has to be earned, as it is only received when given. A right proper hug has qualities that differentiate it from the mini-hugs that sometimes accompany air kisses, the fake hug one gives to or receives from skanks, the formal hug that forms part of social custom in certain cultures. A right proper hug says "I trust you". And that's saying a lot." tigerjoe
